  • Sunday Concert Series: The Linda Smith Band

    Turtle Run Winery

    From great rock to wonderful hits to country, this band covers a wide variety of hits.  With songs from yesteryear to today's hottest hits, the Linda Smith Band is a combination of 5 vocals that creates incredible variety with an ever changing sound. Linda on lead vocal, acoustic guitar, keyboard, takes center stage surrounded by some of the industries most talented musicians. Our concerts are free and they are family friendly. You are welcome to bring food. We are normally selling grilled fare to benefit various programs from Special Olympics to Providence High School Swim and Dive. No other alcohol permitted. All concerts are outside. Wine tastings during concerts are outside. Wine can be purchased inside or outside. Cheese and crackers are available inside the winery. Grilled fare is sold on the east side of the winery behind the band. We have complimentary plastic cups. We sell wine glasses or you can bring your own wine glass.     Get ready to get WOWED!!!  Not wild!  But wow, what music this band covers and the ranges they hit are beyond fantastic.  Yes, lots of brass.  Lots of great hits you'll recognize, some you'll recognize that didn't have brass when you heard it on the radio and now it does.  Absolutely fantastic! Our concerts are free and they are family friendly. You are welcome to bring food. We are normally selling grilled fare to benefit various programs from Special Olympics to Providence High School Swim and Dive. No other alcohol permitted. All concerts are outside.   • Holiday Concert Series: Nervous Melvin & the Mistakes then Frequency

    Today, we are hosting two of the best and long running bands in the area, Nervous Melvin and then Frequency.  Who can't remember going to Butchertown Pub or Phoenix Hill and hearing Nervous Melvin? Nervous Melvin is the eclectic rock band that creates their own groove to hits, great songs, rock, alternative rock, you name it, Nervous Melvin.  I love their personal twists to classic songs.  Sometimes, you have to stop and think, yeah, I've heard that before, what / who is that, because of how original they can twist a song into something different and totally cool.  Nervous plays from 12:00 to 3:00 or so, then.... FreQuency with it's well known musicians and vocal talent has become one of Louisville areas band to watch perform! Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Doobie Brothers The Pretenders, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Linda R, Smokey Robinson and much more!!  Mary and Trent can really hit the vocals with great harmonies and just the overall feel and blend of the sounds is quite remarkable.  They will play from 3:30 to 6:30 ish.     Another new band for Turtle Run Winery.  I know, what?!?!  Huh?  Who are they?  Uh huh.  Yeah, I know exactly who this group is.  Some familiar names include Don,  Robert,  Kara, Kevin and David.  I can guess what they will play, but think great rock and pop from the 70's and 80's.  They have all played out here many times and a lot of times together.  You'll recognize them. Hug It Out:  Four of the members of Brass Pack are part of Hug It Out.  Get ready for Kara Kelton to take the lead vocals and hit some notes that are way up there!  Lots of upbeat dance and joyful and fun music. Hug It Out is making their debut and their previous debut date at Turtle Run Winery got climate cancelled.  Sigh. Our concerts are free and they are family friendly. You are welcome to bring food.     Ahhh....Fall weather! At Turtle Run Winery today, Sunday, we have to cancel the concert with Radiotronic. Wind, Rain, falling temperatures. In lieu of the great music, we'll open several "Golden Oldies" to compliment our current wine list and if asked, hey, let's sample the future too with barrel tastings! Cheers, Jim   If you've ever had a "Heart of Glass", "Take Breath Away" in the "Purple Rain", if you were ever "Hungry Like The Wolf" and wanted to "Get Down Tonight", then "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". If you are fluent in "Jive Talking" or ever got stuck in a "Bizarre Love Triangle", "Get Into The Groove" - "You Should Be Dancing" with RADIOTRONIC, the five-piece rock and dance band with serious Louisville music bloodlines and bubbling, blistering, beautiful solo and harmony vocals from Rachel Hagan, Kevin Garvey and Jeff Epperson. Add Ardel Cagata on bass and Luca Bianconcini behind the drum kit and you have the right kind of energetic, seasoned band perfectly suited to play vintage 70's, 80's music that will not let you stay seated.
