Turtle Run Winery,

This year, we are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Turtle Run Winery.  This weekend, we'll taste older vintages of Max's Small Batch Red, Catherine's Blend and Joe's Jammin' Red.  We'll also have commemorative bottlings of two special wines, Laura's Barrel Dry Red and Jim' Blend.  Who has better taste in blending dry reds, Laura or Jim?  We...shall...see. We'll also taste some very old original bottlings of wines too, yes, 25 plus year's old wines!  Some fun pictures and other memorabilia will be on display, plus thumb through a binder of history of Turtle Run Winery plus....did you know that we come from a bourbon and whiskey producing background?  From both maternal and the fraternal side of Jim, yes, whiskey.  Here is a site link from his mom's side.  https://www.pre-pro.com/midacore/view_distillery.php?did=DST371 .  The 1896 brand comes from Jim's dad's side.  Prohibition shut down both distillery operations.  After prohibition, Ray Pfeiffer, Sr, Jim's grandfather worked for and became an executive at Glenmore Distillery. Literally, one generation skipped and voila, back the family roots sprout, this time in wine. Come out this weekend for some premium "Blast from the Past" wines and some fun new wines which we have been working on for a few years in anticipation for our 25th anniversary celebration!
