This Sunday we feature The Rigbys, a great Beatles cover band that additionally plays the band members original works outside of the Beatles. Our concerts are free and they are family friendly. You are welcome to bring food. We are normally selling grilled fare to benefit various programs from Special Olympics to Providence High School Swim and Dive. No other alcohol permitted. All concerts are outside. Wine tastings during concerts are outside. We have plenty of shade.  Wine can be purchased inside or outside. Cheese and crackers are available inside the winery. Grilled fare is sold on the east side of the winery behind the band. We have complimentary plastic cups. We sell wine glasses or you can bring your own wine glass. We suggest that you bring a lawn chair, but if you forget one, no problem as we'll lend one (or two or three...) to you. Lastly, if you would like to borrow an ice bucket for your wine, great. You've seen Eric Kerr out here with The Rigby's and other bands.  Remember Brutally Handsome?  Eric and the Iconics drift us back into some good time "classic music." From Pop, Rock, Motown, R&B favorites and "seldom heard" gems of the '60s and '70s. From The Temptations to Al Green to ELO; From Etta James to Dusty Springfield to The Staples Singers. A great to to celebrate with family, and a great patriotic day for all Americans, the 4th of July.  And this year, to make it special, we are hosting the eclectic rock band that creates their own groove to hits, great songs, rock, alternative rock, you name it, Nervous Melvin.  I love their personal twists to classic songs.  Sometimes, you have to stop and think, yeah, I've heard that before, what / who is that, because of how original they can twist a song into something different and totally cool. Friday, July 5th at Turtle Run Winery. Thinking a lot of people are off work and perhaps looking for something fun to do. I don't do this often, certainly not often enough. I think I can manage this with our awesome staff today. For anyone who asks, we'll do one of my "Critically Acclaimed" sensory analysis on how the shape of a wine glass affects the acute flavors we perceive through volumetric pressure, vapor pressure, slope, flow rate, and the subconscious responses in nanoseconds to flavor and aroma recognition due to mouth vaporization location and rate. In semi-layman's terms, I can prove there is no such thing as a red wine glass, a white wine glass, but I can prove that wine does taste different out of different glasses and your perceptive like of this glass over that glass is tied to your individually unique biology. Reed, Art and the gang are back! LB&E are known for good time music, especially those songs with horns. Expect some Chicago, maybe even a set or so.
